SureFlap reads your cat’s microchip and unlocks only for them: keeping unwanted visitors out and keeping your pets safe. The SureFlap Microchip Cat Flap from Sure Petcare can store up to 32 pet identities: making it ideal for multi-pet households and, with a simple one-button process, adding multiple pets to your SureFlap system couldn’t be easier. It’s not a problem if your cat isn’t microchipped, as the door also works with the SureFlap RFID Collar Tag.SureFlap’s sensors will detect when your cat wants to enter by sensing its microchip; if the microchip is on the system the door will click open immediately, allowing your cat through. The door will close after your cat has entered: locking the door behind your pet and keeping any strays or other unwanted visitors out of your home. It’s like an electronic door key for your cat. The door also has a manual locking system for days when you need extra security.

great product : works well but not suitable for my door
this is a well made excellent product but not suitable for my front door: as advised by my security company and excellent for back doors or garden doors but not for a front door. Long tunnel would have blocked me opening my door fully so would not have worked.

Brilliant product
Easy to use and install. Works really well only allowing your cat in. Have had this product for years with no issues. Just changed the doors at the house so updated the colour from brown to white.

Great product, but problem getting dainty nervous cat to use it
This is a great product, but my cat is very wary of the click it makes, plus the door is alot weightier than our previous cat flap and our cat is nervous about coming in and out. We have tried much coaching to get her to use it, but we still have to open the flap for her, defeats the purpose. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Great for the cats but very "drafty"
I have just ordered my second SureFlap having had the first one for over five years. The cat-flap is great for my three cats, making them feel secure in their own home as stays are left stranded outside and there is never an issue with them being stranded (as they were on occasion when I had a magnetic cat-flap) providing you change the batteries when the red low battery indicator flashes on.
On the down-side this is probably the least draft-proof cat-flap that I have ever had allowing cold air into the house at the top of the flap-door as well as the poor brush finish around the edge. Everyone who has been to my house comments on the draft (I live in a house that is less than 6 years old and rather well insulated)
I would have like to have tried the new Catmate flap but it unfortunately requires more space.

Long-term user review
I don't know if like me you would prefer to hear reviews from people who have had a product for a while, to share their experience. Well, here it is!
We've had a SureFlap Microchip flap for 5 years and it is very good. Batteries last 4-6 months per set of 4x good alkalines and we have 2 cats. There's an LED that flashes when batteries start to fade.
The SureFlap we first bought had a design issue, which SureFlap acknowledged and replaced the whole thing with a re-designed unit without any fuss. No probs since (4+ years).
It operates quickly - I've seen one of our cats tear across the garden and straight through virtually without stopping.
And I paid a lot more for it than this...
Oh yes, and the chip on one of our cats has moved down its back but still no problems reading it. Hope this helps.

Tunnel sticks out
The tunnel sticks out too far and doesn't look right. I will be replacing it.

Safe at last!!
What a fantastic product. Easy to set up and link the cats micro chip. Another cat was coming in our house and chasing our cats and eating their food...we even caught him in our bedroom at 3 o'clock in the morning! Our cats are now safe from the neighbourhood bully!! We wish we had bought this weeks ago. Our cats were staying away from the house for longer and longer each day and when they were home they wouldn't settle and were on edge all of the time. They are now home and so relaxed...what a difference. The cat flap is expensive but in our case was well worth the money.

Good flap
We’ve been bothered by unwanted visits of stray and neighbour's cats, but could not find any suitable flap for our shorthair. This one is just a right choice, it’s perfect and easy to program. It took some time for my cat to get used to it, but everything is great now. Highly recommended!

Great flap and what fantastic customer service
The flap works very well - I have two, on different doors, which allow us to feed our cats separately, due to diet restrictions. The flaps are well-built and reliable, and have a long battery life. However, we have one particularly cunning neighbourhood cat who managed to defeat the security mechanism and break in. I emailed Sureflap, more to let them know than with any hopes they'd be able to assist. They were friendly and helpful, and extremely concerned about the problem. They sent me first a pair of prototypes of their new dual-locking flaps, and then two of the final product, at their own expense. I can recommend these flaps without hesitation, both for the product itself and for Sureflap's outstanding customer support.

Amazing product and an unbeatable price
I have always wanted to purchase this flap but thought it was a bit overpriced. Bitiba really did offer the bestt price and now me and my cat can enjoy comfort all the time :) Works well, perfect design! Happy!

Works very well
The flat works very well. My cats got very quickly used to it. The batteries last long too and the flap itself is very good quality. It keeps other cats out. Would by it again.

Great investment
Originally I was going to buy one of those magnetic cat doors, but I am so glad I saw sureflap advertised. It is great not having to worry about my cat loosing her collar (with magnet attached) and being stuck outside until I get home...and she somehow does manage to loose it regularly! It is also great having a cat door that restricts which pet can come inside as with my old cat door, I was constantly having to chase my neighbours cats outside as it would sneak in to scoff down the cat food. The sureflap was easy install and it didn't take too much coaxing for my cat to get used to it (she is only six months old so had never used a cat door before). I quite like the clicking sound it makes when it reads the microchip as I can monitor when my cat is coming and going. For me, the sureflap cat door is definitely worth the money.
